One word more. I am informed that some Chinese are afraid that

Government will prohibit the importation and circulation of all

foreign coin. At the beginning of this boycutt I authorised a

statement to be made in the Native Press that Government would

not take any such action without giving full notice and ample time for those interested to make arrangements for such a

change. I repeat that assurance. This Government never acts

unjustly and I can promise that no action will be taken suddenly

if it is taken at all, in the direction indicated.
